Website Design Packages

Having a professional, relevant presence on the web is vital in the world we live in today, especially if you are in an equestrian or agricultural industry. Technology is moving forward at a rapid pace, and the demand to keep up has never been stronger. The days of looking things up in the Yellow Pages are long gone, and people rely on the internet to help them find what they need, every day.

Regardless of your industry, a professionally designed website is often the public’s first impression of you and your business, and you want that first impression to speak of your credibility, knowledge and professionalism. Frequently Asked Questions

For starters, there aren’t a lot of larger design firms out there that understand equine and agricultural businesses and know the day-to-day struggles you face, as well as have experience actually working in those fields. Working with a smaller boutique firm is much more personalized, it’s like working with a good friend that just gets you! Typically I have very quick turnaround times compared to a larger company. Because I work out of my home, my overhead is lower and that is reflected in my fees, however quality is never sacrificed. And, because it’s just me here, you’re always communicating directly with the person working on your project.

All of my web design, photography and branding services are packaged up nice and tidy, so that you can easily select just the right combination of services that fit your needs and your budget. If you need something in between, I am more than happy to provide add-ons and customize an existing package to suit you perfectly.

Please call me at anytime to discuss your project needs, or request a complimentary discovery call by filling out my Work With Me form and let’s talk!

Yes, absolutely! Depending on my schedule, I can provide rush services for your project, however additional fees will most likely apply. Please contact me for details.

All of my websites include a Basic SEO package, which includes submitting your site to Google & Bing, setting up your site in Google Search Console, optimizing on-site SEO with page titles, descriptions, and image ALT text. I do not use any black hat SEO tactics, and I will advise you along the way how to make the best use of your content marketing strategies to drive traffic to your new website.

Additionally, if you have SEO needs beyond what I offer, I will be happy to help you find an outside SEO expert that will be able to assist you.

Yes, I work with an excellent wholesale printer in California, that provides high quality products at great prices and will drop ship to your front door. Business cards, brochures, fliers, door hangers, you name it…..they print it…..and it will show up fast!

For a custom quote on printed products, please contact me!

There are several factors that play into this, beginning with the details of your project. For example an e-commerce web site will take much longer than a 5 page brochure site. Also, how quickly you are able to provide the required materials and then approve mock ups (if applicable) will play into how quickly your project will be completed.

Generally most websites will take between 4 – 8 weeks, depending on the scope and how quickly I am provided with materials. Some will be quicker, and some will take much longer.

I do not give completion dates for websites, as there are far too many factors to consider that can delay the launch of new sites, however I am committed to your success and I will do my very best to make sure your site is completed in a very timely manner so that you can rock on and do business!

Graphic design projects such as logos and business cards will generally take 2-3 weeks. Full scale branding services can take a bit longer, but generally not more than 6 weeks.

Yes! All of my website are built with the WordPress content management system platform along with the Elementor page builder, which allows you the flexibility to manage and maintain your site yourself. I provide you with the training you need so that you can feel comfortable with managing your site.

If, at any time, you require updates that you’re not comfortable with, I’m here to help you and will provide that service to you at my normal hourly maintenance rate.

And, if you don’t ever want to do any updates yourself, that’s fine too! I have several maintenance plans to choose from that suit most every need and budget, and all include website updates and/or coaching to keep you on track and keep your website up to date and relevant. Some maintenance plans offer a discounted rate for additional work that exceeds the allotted time in your plan.

Even though regular website updates are highly recommended for your user’s best experience and website SEO, if you don’t want or need a monthly maintenance plan, updates can be done on an as-needed basis and then I send you a bill at the end of the month.

Absolutely, 100%, YOU own your website. You are free to have someone else update and maintain it, you can change it up anyway you like, you can move it anywhere you like should you need to — it’s completely yours. Having said that, there are a couple of things you should know:

  1. I only work on websites that are hosted by me. This is so I can be confident in knowing that your site will perform at its best and will be as secure as possible. But rest assured, you have full access to your hosting.
  2. In most cases, the premium products I use to build your site use my developer license. I am happy to share my license with you, as long as we are working together. Should you decide to have another designer take over your website, you will need to purchase your own licenses for these products.

While technically, since I am the creator, the copyrights for the website design & layout itself belong to me, but by entering in a contract with me, you have permission to use the elements and designs created for your website, whether you continue to work with me or not. And of course all of your written content and images that you provide remain copywritten by you, or whoever actually created that content.

Let me explain a bit more and give you a couple of examples:

Let’s say you need a website built, but you don’t have a logo and it’s not really in your budget to create one right now. Instead, I create a simple word mark “logo” with your business name using just lettering, and that is what is displayed in the header of your website. This would be part of the web design process and you would have permission to use that for your website only. You cannot take that file and use it elsewhere, such as a Facebook cover image, your IG profile image, or in any type of print media such as business cards or fliers. If you do that, you will get a bill from me for logo design.

Another example would be that if I created an image or other graphic to use on your site, using my images or graphics that you did not provide. That image is protected by copyright law, and I give you permission to use it on your site. You do not have permission to use that image anywhere else.

Having said that, if you wish to have these items fully at your use other than on your website, we can make that happen for an additional fee to cover the time involved to make those files ready for other media outside of a website.

Logos are a completely different ball game from website design. Clearly, a logo is created to be used in all sorts of different media and advertising, such as websites, business cards, apparel, signage…pretty much anything you want to put it on. If you have purchased a Logo Design or Branding package, after your logo is created and paid for in full, our contract states that your logo is owned exclusively by you and I transfer all copyrights to you. You can reproduce it any way you like,  sell merchandise with it, trademark it (which I highly recommend) — it is fully yours to do with as you please.

Note: If you do not have any branding in place, and I create a simple word-form logo for your website, you can use that logo for the website only, and you will not have a license to use that anywhere outside of the website without purchasing a logo package.

You will receive a variety of files with your logo or branding package, so that you can use your logo on virtually anything you please. Sometimes those files vary with the type of logo that you end up with. Typically you will get high resolution JPG and transparent PNG, as well as a layered EPS (vector) file that you would provide to a printer for creating apparel, etc. In most cases, you will receive both a colored, gray scale & white version of these files, but this may be different, depending on your unique logo and what it looks like. You will also receive various logo submarks (alternate logo files, again.. depending on your unique logo) and a favicon for your website or other icon use. You will also receive any fonts used for your logo, or the location where they can be downloaded, as well as a color palette ASE file that can be imported into Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator so you can easily grab your colors to craft other media for your business. Lastly, you will receive a branding style guide, which is a document that details exactly which files are included in your package. This document also includes a visual color palette with hex, CMYK & RGB color codes.
